This site contains technical information, support documentation and software updates for Spectrum Digital's
line of development tools for Texas Instruments' C6000 Digital Signal Processors (DSPs). For
product information and ordering, please visit the main Spectrum Digital web site at
www.spectrumdigital.com.
The C6000 family is based on several DSP cores with several variants of each core. The DSPs
on the development boards are selected to use the most feature-rich version of each core so
developers can target multiple members of each core with varying levels of resource.
The following table lists our developmen boards by core and shows which family members can be targeted
most easily with each board.

A typical development system includes a target board, a JTAG emulator and a copy of TI's
Code Composer Studio IDE. Developer Starter Kits (DSKs) include entry-level versions of
an embedded JTAG emulator and Code Composer Studio that only work with the DSK board itself.
Evaluation modules (EVMs) require an external JTAG emulator and full Code Composer Studio and
are suitable for engineers designing their own hardware.
