DDR Settings

The DDR settings in target content (GEL + BSL) have been validated as of the September 18, 2007 release (version 1.50 of the GEL file). If you are using these settings, please download the latest target content.

Population Notes

The following are board population notes to clarify questions about the ALPHA EVM build.
  1. SRAM (U22) - The EVMDM6437s are populated with a x16 version of the SRAM, not the x8 part. For this reason, only 1 megabyte (the lower 8 bits) of the 2 megabyte capacity are usable.
  2. R35 and R320 - These resistors are populated with 0 ohm instead of 0.1 ohm resistors. Replace them with 0.1 ohm resistors if you intend to do power measurements.

PCI Usage
For PCI usage, change the SW1 & SW2 switches to the following.
NOTE: Always make sure to turn off the PC power before you securely place the EVMDM6437 into the PCI slot, then you may turn on the PC.
